He was predeceased by: his parents, Barnett O. Z. and Vallie Mae Sears (Camp); and his siblings, Keith Sears, Johnny Sears and Lorene Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Arlene Sears; his children, Tony Sears and Amber Sears (Dagan); his siblings, Melba Erwin, Beverly Doggett (Danny), Linda Cryer (Kevin), Peggy Reeder (Ron), Lonnie Sears (Pearlene) and Leo Sears (Margaret); his brothers-in-law, Glenn Brand and Roy Brand; and his cousin Darrell Prescher. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
