She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward McGinty and Eleanor McGinty; her significant other Carl A. VanHekle, Jr.; her in-laws, Carl and Gladys VanHekle, Sr.; her brother Donald McGinty; and her grandson Lee VanHekle.
She is survived by: her children, Shari (John Jones) of Cleburne, Texas, Carl A. VanHekle, III of Delaware and David A. VanHekle of Florida; and her siblings, Sharon DeFrancisco (James Turner) of Florida and Edward McGinty (Barbara) of Florida. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
