He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Hollis Ward (Pruitt); and his sister Fredda Mae Ward Roberts. He is survived by: his wife LuLane Ward of Cleburne; his children, Luanna Kathryn Ward of Cleburne, William Edward Ward of Cleburne and Susan Ward Sontag of Cleburne; his grandchildren, William Edward Ward, Jr., Fredrick Ward Sontag "Ward" and Matilda Luanna Ward; and his nephew Fred Roberts of Fort Worth.
