He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard P. Bernal, Sr. and Enriqueta Sanchez Bernal; his wife Janie; and his siblings, Nick Bernal, Valentine Moralez and Irene Ramos.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Bernal of Cleburne and Michelle Bernall of Gladstone; his daughter-in-law Norma Hawk; his grandchildren, Christopher Bernal of Cleburne, Taylor Brady of Gladstone and Jasmin Hawk of Richardson; and his sisters, Dolores Bernal, Linda Garcia and Sally Jimmenez.
