He was predeceased by: his son Geoffrey Forbes; and his granddaughter April Callis. He is survived by: his wife Donna Forbes; and his sons, Mike Forbes (Pam) and Greg Otts (Edi). He is also survived by 2 granddaughters; and 7 great-granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Claude EMS or Claude Fire Department.
