Billy Jack Bates Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2025, at the age of 92, Billy Jack Bates of Clarksville, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Bates and Ola Belle Bates; and his granddaughter Brittney Smith. He is survived by: his wife Margie Ann Henderson; his daughter LaDonna Chatham (Cliff); his stepson Terry Smith (Rita) of Haworth, OK; his sister Sue Wolfe of Clinton, AR; his granddaughters, McCall Scott (Parker) of Flower Mound and Mallory Chatham; and his great grandchild Scarlett Scott.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant (2201 TX-49, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Union Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Billy Bates memory to the First Baptist Church Building Fund (2201 TX-49, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455).
