He is survived by: his wife Peggy Lane Wood of Carrollton, TX; his son Tim Wood (Nancy) of Collinsville, OK; his grandchildren, Natalie and Will; his great grandchild Keith Wood (Angie) of Raleigh, NC; and also, Aubrey, Landry and Cade.

“Peggy, i just learned that roy had passed away. George wilson called me about an hour ago. I am so sorry. As you know, roy, george wilson, joel garcia and i attended the us army command & general staff college together. I just returned home to houston after attending a memorial service for my brother in texarkana and, as much as i regret it, i will not be able to make it to dallas for roy's service on friday. You will be in our prayers. Dr. Jerry icenhower”
