She was predeceased by: her father Gene Welch; her husband Art Sommerfeld; her siblings, Lester Welch, Gerald Welch, Jeannie Formway and Linda Welch; and her siblings-in-law, Danny and Leonora Willmann.

She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Sommerfeld of Amarillo, TX and Donna Sommerfeld of Canyon, TX; and her sister Shirley Burton of Spearman, TX. She is also survived by several nieces, her nephew, and several great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made either to the American Heart Association, or The National Kidney Foundation.
