He is survived by: his wife Dora Collazo; his children, Rafael "Buddy" Ramirez, Jr., Johnny Ramirez (Cheryl), Raiford Ramirez (Rhyland), Susie Webb (Edward), Delia Esquivel (Pete) and Sylvia Ramirez; and his siblings, Rodrigo Ramirez, Juan Ramirez, Isaura Silva, Nena Rodriguez and Idolina Luna. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and one on the way; 11 great grandchildren.
