Patsy Ruth Jessup Obituary

Patsy Ruth Jessup, age 89, of Cisco passed away on July 27, 2024 after a long and happy life.

Patsy was born February 4, 1935 to Jess Orvil and Vennie Mae Naylor in Rule, Texas. After Patsy graduated from Scranton High School in 1953, she went on to marry Wayne Cozart and have her first child, Bobby Wayne Cozart, before Wayne passed away shortly after.

In 1959, Patsy met and fell in love with Cecil Larry Jessup in Cisco, and they were married that same year. In 1960, Patsy gave birth to her second child, Larry Don Jessup.

Everyone who knew her knew that Patsy was a jokester, always ready with a story to make everyone smile. She was a member of First Baptist Church Cisco and dedicated her life to being a good Christian woman and homemaker. Patsy was a loving wife and mother, and a great Mema.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Delbert Naylor, Alma Green, Gethra Moon, her first husband Wayne Cozart, her husband Cecil Larry Jessup, her sons Bobby Wayne Cozart and Larry Don Jessup and Larry's wife Barbara Jean Jessup-Green. She is survived by grandchildren Ben Cozart and wife Misty, and Holly and Casey Jessup. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Katelyn, Blaze, and Kreed Cozart.

Visitation will be held at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 2, 2024, at First Baptist Church Cisco, with Dr. Kelvin Kelley officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
