Lisa Moore Obituary

Lisa Rebeca Gordon Moore, 74, passed peacefully on May 23, 2024 at Abilene Hendricks Hospital. A memorial service to honor Lisa will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 2pm at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home Chapel in Cisco, TX.

Lisa was born on March 28, 1950 in Colon, Panama to Edmundo Gordon and Telma Madina. She was raised in Panama until she married the love of her life, Michael Dean Moore, on October 7, 1967 and relocated to the United States. Lisa and Michael lived in Kentucky, Amarillo, and Kaufman until they settled in Cisco in 1981. In 1975, she was blessed with the birth of her first son, Andrew Brian, and then welcomed her second son, Gabriel Gordon, in 1977.

Lisa earned her Associates degree from Cisco Junior College and served the students, staff, and families of Cisco Elementary School for 25 years as a paraprofessional. Lisa loved seeing the friendly faces of so many students during her career in education. In 2010, Lisa became "Nita" to her two granddaughters, Lily Madeline and Caroline Katherine. Three years later, her family was complete with the birth of her grandson, Alexander Michael. Lisa loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed playing cards, making quilts, crossword puzzles, and taking care of her family. Most of all, Lisa treasured the time she spent with her family.

Lisa is preceded in death by her parents and her three siblings. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Michael Moore of Cisco, TX; sons Andrew Moore and Gabriel Moore of Prosper, TX, and their families Vicki, Lily, and Alex Moore and Sarah and Caroline McMahan-Moore. Lisa is also survived by her niece, Haydee Solberger, of Panama City, Panama, and brother-in-law, C.W. and Pat Moore, of Lubbock, TX.
