Linda Diane Wells Obituary

Linda Diane (Gary) Wells passed peacefully from this life at the age of seventy-five on Friday August 2nd, 2024.

Linda was born on August 2nd, 1949 in Baird, TX to Bill and Nelda Gary. She was raised in Cisco, TX alongside her three siblings. She later met the love of her life Jimmy in Cisco and there raised her four children Tammy, Rusty, Ruby, and Jenean alongside him. When her children had children, she became a devoted grandmother who enjoyed helping raise them and taking family trips.

Linda provided countless home cooked comfort meals to many of the members of the Cisco community at Linda's Corner Café for sixteen years. The café was a family ran business, and the customers were like family too. Everyone in the county was disheartened when Linda retired in 2016 and closed the café because they could no longer get a chicken fried steak the way she made it. After her retirement, she devoted her time to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed getting to see the great grandkids and spending time with them the most.

On August 2nd Linda went home to join her husband James (Jimmy) Wells and her father William (Bill) Gary. She is survived and greatly missed by her mother Nelda Gary, three siblings Benny Gary, Billy J. Gary, and Micheal Hollis, four children Tammy Wells, Rusty Wells and wife Tanya, Ruby Kevil and husband Keith, and Jenean Wells, ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

The family will be celebrating Linda's life at a graveside service on Tuesday August 6th, 2024 at 10:00AM at Mitchell Cemetery.
