Joe D. Ziehr Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe D. Ziehr of Cisco, Texas, who passed away on May 31, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joe D. Ziehr to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank John Ziehr and Willie Maie Holt Ziehr; his siblings-in-law, G. C., Lydia Stroebel and Mary; his siblings, Elton Ziehr and Kathleen Weiser; his brothers-in-law, Norman Weiser and Alvin Krause; and also Eva Richardson Stroebel.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Louise Stroebel; his son Kevin Joe of Cisco; and his siblings, Elaine Krause of Copperas Cove and Roland (Jean) of Clyde. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery Association, Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association, or the College/Trade School Scholarship Fund at the Texas Wendish Heritage Society and Museum.
