Jimmy Dale Parrigan Obituary
Jimmy Dale Parrigan of Cisco passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family.
Jimmy was born March 12, 1948 in Rockwall. He graduated from Carbon High School in 1966, and later from Cisco College with a degree in auto mechanics and welding. He served in the United States Air Force for six years during the Vietnam War era.
Jimmy married Donna Price June 18, 1970, and the couple had two daughters. They made their home in Cisco, where Jimmy worked and retired from Embridge after 32 years. He loved working in his yard, working with anything electronic and was a ham radio operator. He placed the most value in his family and living for Jesus.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Hogan, stepfather I.D. Hogan, brothers Charles Parrigan (Sonny) and Kenneth Parrigan and sister Martha Faye Baggett.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Donna Price Parrigan; daughters Deanna Parrigan of Irving and Daresa Galvan of Cisco; grandchildren Caleb Galvan (Teagan) and Caitlyn Galvan (Dailynn) of Cisco; great grandchildren Everleigh Lopez, Jasper Galvan and a new addition coming in May 2025.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Saturday, October 5, 2025, at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 6, 2024, in the Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Murray Cemetery in Carbon.
The family would like to thank and recognize the oncology doctors and staff at Hendrick Medical Center and Medical City-Dallas, the nurses and staff at Eastland Memorial Hospital and Solaris Hospice Care for all of their support during Jimmy's journey.
The family also wants to recognize and thank the community for their outpouring of love, support and prayers during our cancer warrior's battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Your love and support during this time have made this battle more bearable.
The family suggests memorials to Hendrick Regional Blood Center or the American Cancer Society.
