Jeanne Carol Rains Obituary

Jeanne Carol Rains of Cisco left this life unexpectedly Friday, November 29, 2024 at the age of 77.

Jeanne was born November 10, 1947 in Gorman to Eddie and Ettoy Scittern Bryant. She attended Cisco High School, where she was involved in FHA, National Honor Society and was FFA Sweetheart. She went on to attend Cisco Junior College and Tarlton State University preparing for a teaching career with the Cisco Independent School District. She married Robert Rains August 27, 1966, and the couple had three boys.

She was friendly, always willing to help others, and had a heart for children.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her mother and father and in-laws Odell and Francis Rains.

Survivors include her husband Bobby Rains of Cisco; sons Robert Rains (Kay), Tim Rains (Karen) and Bradlee Rains (Crystal), all of Cisco; sister Trisha Tone (Steve) of Eastland; grandchildren Leann Sharma (Shaw) of Celina, Kaleb Rains (Mary) of Andrews, Justin Hash (April) of Cisco, Taylor Rains (Alexus) of Granbury, Cole Jones (Lexi) of Cisco, Kelsee Rains (Sammy) of Cisco, Carson and Haden Rains of Cisco and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Cisco Church of Christ, with Phil Green officiating. Burial will be at Murray Cemetery in Carbon.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeanne's grandsons, Kaleb, Justin, Taylor, Cole, Carson, Haden, Shaw and Sammy.
