Jack Ray Obituary

Jack Ray of Cisco left this life Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the age of 85.

Jack was born July 1, 1938 in Coleman to Willis and Alma Ray. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1957, then attended Amarillo College. He was a veteran of the Navy Reserve. He married Patricia Williams on March 5, 1960, and the couple was married 60 years before she preceded him in death in 2020. He worked as Produce Manager for Thriftmart and Brookshires for 36 years.

Jack was a generous, caring man, who would help anyone. He and Patricia enjoyed delivering meals on wheels.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Patricia; a brother, Eugene Ray; sister, Brenda Brown and son-in-law, Ronnie Weiser.

Survivors include his daughter Charlotte Weiser of Cisco and son David Ray of Big Spring; grandchildren Joshua Ray and wife Samantha, Amanda Springer and husband Jake of Yukon, Oklahoma, Crystal King and husband David of Abilene, and Kimberly Weiser and husband Cody Javarone of Weatherford; great-grandchildren Sebastion King, Grayson Javarone, Cooper Javarone, Mikayla Springer, Natalie Ray, Gene Springer and Theo Ray; sisters-in-law Shirley Giles and husband Ralph and Ann Smith and husband Bob; brother-in-law Donald Williams and wife Patsy; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 11, 2023, at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home with Stephen Forester officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
