He was predeceased by: his brothers, James, Allen, Clinton and Jimmy; and his nephew Randy Posey.

He is survived by: his wife Eldis Jean Posey; and his grandchildren, Brad Reed, Danny Reed, Franky Seabourn, David Seabourn, Brandon Munoz, Nathan Posey, Matt Posey, Corey Collins, Jeremy Posey, Bailey Posey, Jenna Martin, Josh Posey and Jinger Posey.
