He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Nelson Phelps and Pearl Durine Phelps (Brown); his wife Sharon Leigh McCracken of Cisco; his children, Donna Sue McClure (James Richard) of Ovalo, Keith Nelson Phelps (Shauna) of Cisco, Rebekah Ann Moore (Macy) of Fort Worth and James Clifford LaMontagne of Fort Worth, Texas; his siblings, Cody Brown of Amarillo and Fredia Lee Sneed of The Colony, Texas.; his grandchildren, Ashley O'Dell (Justin), Krystal King (Dustin), Candace Martinez (Israel) and Savannah McClure; and his stepgrandchildren, Shelby Johnson (Parker) and Brandy White (William).
