Carolyn Ingram Obituary
Carolyn Ann Briscoe Ingram of Cisco left this life Friday, February 9, 2024, at the age of 79.
Carolyn was born June 9, 1944 in San Antonio to Fred Franklin and Christie "Eva" Davis Briscoe. She graduated as Valedictorian of the Luling High School Class of 1962, and declined a full scholarship to college in order to marry Charles Dowdy and become a wife and mother.
She boldly lived exactly the way she wanted to , and was incredibly smart, creative and generous. Music was a big part of Carolyn's life. She played piano at churches in the Cisco area.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence Worth Ingram, and infant son Charles Edward Dowdy, Jr.
She is survived by children Ernie Dowdy of Crowley, Cheryl Dowdy Hoffman and husband Michael of Crowley; grandchildren Sean and Autumn Hoffman of Crowley; and stepdaughter Tammie Ingram Allen and husband Joseph of Canyon. She is also survived by special friend Johnny Rawlins of Cisco.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, February 16, 2024, at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home, 300 W 9th in Cisco. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 17, 2024, in the Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery.
