Brenda Kay Cearley Obituary
Brenda Kay Spencer Cearley passed away from this life on March 15, 2024, surrounded by her family at Medical City, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born August 3, 1951, in Abilene, Texas to Earl W. Spencer and Earlene Reinhardt Spencer.
Brenda was a graduate of Anson High School. Brenda was a proud graduate of Tarleton State University. She was a member of numerous clubs and organizations while attending TSU. She made many lifelong friends through the Eternas Social Club.
Brenda met and married her husband, Jimmie Wray Cearley during their time at Tarleton State University. Together they built a wonderful life and home for 47 years. Through thick and thin they supported and loved one another. They are a true testament for caring for one another " through sickness and through health" and "the good times and the bad times".
Brenda's teaching career spanned over 4 decades, she retired from Cisco Elementary to spend more time with her "sweethearts".
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Earl W. and Earlene Reinhardt Spencer, her twin brother Bobby Ray Spencer, and one grandson, Noah Irby.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband Jimmie Wray Cearley and their two children, Amanda and Joshua Irby of Cisco, Texas and Justin Kyle Cearley of Richardson, Texas. Her two grandsons Bryce and Luke Irby of Cisco, Texas. Her eldest brother Winford Spencer Sr. and Dana, of Anson, Texas. Her sister-in-law Betty Bradshaw and husband Richard of Eula, Texas.
Aunt BK is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins along with a multitude of loving friends.
Visitaton will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church in Cisco, with Kevin Hearne officiating, Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson.
