He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Johnson and Juanita Johnson (Carter); and his siblings, John Hambrick, Burrell Hambrick, Wallace Johnson, Nita Fay Thorne and Martha Jo McDonald.

He is survived by: his wife Patsy Johnson of Cisco, TX; his children, Shawn Johnson of Cisco, TX and Shannon Johnson-Hendricks of Glenn Heights, TX; his grandchildren, Devin, Alexis Johnson, Kendall, Casey Haynes, Malori Hendricks, Katie Johnson and Maci Hendricks; his great grandchildren, Clifford Haynes and Heather Haynes; and his brothers, Royce Johnson (Sandra) and Gary Johnson (Genita).
