She was predeceased by: her parents, Ismael Sr. Sosa and Virginia Garcia Sosa; and her siblings, Estella Sosa McNabb (Bill), Ismael Sosa Jr. and Antonio Sosa.
She is survived by: her friend George A. Carpenter, Jr.; her husband Dr. George A. Carpenter, Jr.; her sister-in-law Eunice Sosa; her brothers, Jose Sosa (Becky), Juan Sosa (Isilda) and Dr. Isaac Sosa (Sameta); her brothers-in-law, Joaquin Carpenter (Elva) and Roland Carpenter (Diana); and her caregiver Dora Medina. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
