He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry W. F. and Mabel Helmer (Wilmsen) of Andover, SD.; his siblings, Dorothy Sundermeyer, Beatrice Tobin, Barbara Guthmiller, Leon, Richard, Orville and Norman; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Helmer, William Sundermeyer, James Tobin, Myron Guthmiller and Gwin Skiles; his niece Sharon Sundermeyer; and his nephews, Scott Tobin and David Skiles.
He is survived by: his sisters, Joyce Skiles, Chattanooga and Tenn; and his sisters-in-law, Ilene Helmer of Andover, SD, LaVonne Helmer of Aberdeen, SD and Norma Helmer of Groton, SD. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and friend.
