He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Christine Carrell; his daughter Pamela D. Peterson; his grandchildren, Ariel Peterson, Sean Peterson and Lacey Hill; his siblings, Valita Cato, Jannette Cantrell and Carl Carrell; his son James M. Carrell Jr.; his grandson Maddison Peterson; and his parents, Virgil Carrell and Stella Carrell. He was also cherished by father and grandfather and making his friends and family.
