It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fidel V. Alaniz Sr. of Christine, Texas, who passed away on September 21, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Alaniz and Jesusa Alaniz (Valadez); his siblings, Martin Alaniz, Jr., Joe Alaniz and Luz Segura; and his granddaughters, Margaret Ann Guerrero and Maribel Fuentes.
He is survived by: his wife Elida Alaniz; his children, Fidel Alaniz, Jr., Mark Anthony Alaniz, Steven Alaniz, Teresa Saldiva (Carlos), Susan Uribe (Horacio Ozuna, III), Anne Alaniz (Jesus Mendez, Jr.) and Donna Brister (Justin); his siblings, Tony Alaniz, Jesse Alaniz, Elida Serrata, Lydia Garza and Velia Lopez (Ramon); and his grandchildren, Joni George, Lane Alaniz, Eddie Alaniz, Jeremiah Guerrero, Jonah Anthony Guerrero, Karla Saldiva, Hope Alaniz, Abby Alaniz, Isaiah Alaniz, Deziree Robles, Jacob Uribe, Christel Flores, Jason Krueger, Jr., Isabella Mendez, Darian Garcia, Bailey Brister and Payton Brister. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
