He is survived by: his wife Schelly; his son Trent Abel; his daughter-in-law Whitney Abel of Whitsett, NC.; his daughter Chesney McNamara; his son-in-law Caleb McNamara; his grandson Hudson McNamara; his parents, Franklin Abel (DeeAnn) of Crawford and Cora Abel of Waco; and his siblings, Kim Williams, Amy Abel and Alan Abel of Crawford. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Michael's memory may be directed to the China Spring Volunteer Fire Department or to the Central Texas Rifle and Pistol Club.
