He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Joe Simmons and Esther Rogers Simmons; his son Raymond Wayne Simmons; and his siblings, Alvelynne Evans, Buck Simmons and Curtis Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Marie Simmons of Childress; his son Jesse Leon Simmons of Stillwater, Okla.; his stepchildren, Brett Henderson (Catherine) of Madrid, Spain, Stephanie Leatherwood of Childress and Tresa Sims of Childress; his sister Betty Mills; and his sister-in-law Beulah Simmons of Honey Grove. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
