He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Cannon and Edna Smith; his siblings, Michael Tanzie, Charles Miller-Smith, Floyd Knight, Laudis Dupre and Debra Baldwin; and his grandson Jessie High.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Kennedy (Dallas), Robert Cannon III (Lubbock), Reginald Cannon (Amarillo), Sharron High (Amarillo), Tamela Brandon (Oklahoma City) and LaSonia Cannon (Oklahoma City); and his siblings, Billy Cannon (Austin), Alexander Sims (Lubbock), Leslie Wayne Sims (Plainview) and Oreva Vajdl (Plainview). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many special friends.
