It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loy Ellis Devoll of Childress, Texas, born in Quanah, Texas, who passed away on February 3, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Henry Devoll and Sarah "Sallie" Jane McNutt Devoll; his wife Zona; his daughter Janice Morton; and his brothers, Jess, Elvis and Alquien "Al" Devoll.
He is survived by: his former wife Beulah Mae Cullar; his daughters, Phyllis Tapp of Wichita Falls and Patricia Devoll of Childress; his siblings, Darlene Ely, Pat Allen of Lewisville and Ray Devoll (Wilma) of Grapevine, Texas; and his grandchildren, Alisha Williams (Terry) of Childress, Billy Smith (Amber) of Kirkland, Marcus Smith (Joycelyn) of Goodlett and Connie Tapp of Wichita Falls. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
