He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin N. Smith and Annie B. Smith (Angel); his brothers, Marvin Smith and Jimmy Smith; his son Brent Edward Smith; his sister Fern Marie Castleberry; and his parent-in-law Arthur.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara of Childress; his sons, Keith Smith (Wendy) of Childress and Mike Smith of Childress; and his granddaughters, Katelyn Smith of Omaha, Kailey Smith and Kristen Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
