It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Jouett (Childress, Texas), who passed away on February 12, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Nelson and Clessie Estelle Jouett (Moore); his grandson Danny Jouett II; and his siblings, Juanita Luster, Louise Mills, Sib Saunders and Wallace Jouett.
He is survived by: his wife Joye Lynn Jouett of Childress; and his children, Joe Jouett (Cathy) of Childress, Danny Jouett (Linda) of Amarillo, Debbie Pierce (Rickey, Marsha Meacham) of Childress, Dinah DeArmond (Mark) of Childress and Leah Helm (John) of Childress. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
