It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine Smoot in Childress, Texas, born in Plainview, Texas, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Shugart and Alma Shugart (West); her husband Jerry Smoot; her brother-in-law Johnny Brooks; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Kelley.
She is survived by: her children, Jason Smoot (Jennifer) of Childress, TX. and Tamara Cottom (Bryan) of Sayre, OK.; her grandchildren, Timothy, Andrew, Joshua Kelley, Claire Zinser, Gabe, Destiny Marquez, Abel, Marlene Marquez, Brad and Amber Cottom; her siblings, Bonnie (Larry Carlson), JoAnn Brooks, Treva (Earl Smith) and Larry (Liz Shugart); and her great grandchildren, Brayden, Beckham Cottom, Erilynn and Kadee Marquez.
