He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskell Lee and Dortha "Kennedy" Byers; his wife Linda Maddux; his daughter Denice Byers; his brother Franklin Byers; his grandson Nick Parsons; and his great grandchild Chevy Byers.
He is survived by: his children, Jurden Wayne Byers Jr. (Patty) of Chico and Ronda Mitchum (Lee) of Chico; his siblings, George Byers of Chico, David Byers of Euless and Jewel Mitchell of Euless; and his grandchildren, Brandy Byers, Ashley Ginther (Jason), Haley Byers, Brittany Rider (Skyler), Courtney Byers, Chloe Byers, Maci Byers and Abbi Byers. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
