Doc Grooms Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 18, 2019, at the age of 87, Doc Grooms (Chico, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Grooms and Raney Grooms (Brunson); and his children, Donnie Grooms and Vicki Gordon (Grooms). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Willine Grooms (Pirtle); his grandchildren, Dace Grooms (Jada) of Chico and Calli Gordon of Chico; his son-in-law Lynn Gordon of Chico; and his sisters, Gussie Groves (R. L.) of Chico and Yvonne Burgess (Scott) of Sanger. He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews, and a host of friends.
In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital, The Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star Scholarship Funds of Chico, or Solaris Hospice.
