He was predeceased by: his father Louis; his siblings, Shorty, Glenn, Gene Moody, Nancy McCasland, May, Fay and Kay Moody; and his stepson Billy Escobedo.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Branscum of Alvord, Larry Dale Moody of Decatur and Jake Moody (Nikki) of Bridgeport; his siblings, Rosie Thompson, Nora Hood (Lott), Hattie Hale (Dale), Sherry Brown, Thelma Thompson, Doris Jenkins, Carandy Guinn (Johnny), Leon Moody (Teresa) and James Moody; his grandsons, Joe Lynn Moody and Joseph Talamantes; his stepchildren, Susan McDaniel (Johnny) and Robin Stapp; and his stepgrandchildren, Michael McDaniel, Ty McDaniel, Andrew Stapp and Bailey Escobedo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
