He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Diane Burke; his daughter Sheena Lynn Burke; and his siblings, Cecile Bonnette and Keith Burke. He is survived by: his children, Clifford Lee Burke, Jr. of Port Arthur, Shawn Root (Alicia) of Seabrook and Errin Cox (Richard) of Groves; his grandchildren, Daniel Root, Krista McCaleb, Meagan Roshto, Justin Roshto, Julianna Root, Zoie Monroe, Phoebe Burke, Camden Monroe, Merrick Monroe and Catherine Root; his great grandchildren, David McCaleb, Rylan Lowe, Skylar McCaleb, Jaelynn Montgomery, Addelyn Montgomery and Atlas Root; and his close friend Lupe Long.
