He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wilbur Sinks and Camelia Sinks (Latta). He is survived by: his wife Eileen Sinks (Martin); his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Anthony Dickens; and his grandsons, James Anthony Dickens and Luke Michael Dickens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charlotte City Cemetery Association or a charity of choice.
