He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Peter and Jeneve Mamie Maxfeldt (Thompson); and his siblings, Vernon Maxfeldt, Lois Erfurt and Betty Sumrow.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Maxfeldt; his children, John A. Henry, Joshua Henry (Katrina), Jessica Rudewick (Brent), Sarah Maxfeldt (Dakota Robinson) and Genavee Oosterhof (Drew); his siblings, Roy Maxfeldt (Gay) and Shirley Biester; and his grandchildren, JJ, Kaleb, Katie and Luke.

In lieu of flowers, Norman had a deep love of live plants.
