She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Carroll and Grace Smith (Balderson); her children, Henry D. Duncan III (April) of Annapolis, MD, Joseph C. Duncan (Donna) of Hebron, MD and Carol A. Ziegler (Mike) of Chappell Hill, TX; her siblings, Richard Smith (Cindy) of Easton, MD, Carol Crickenberger (Albert Griffith) of Federalsburg, MD and Eleanor Anderson (Jim) of Trinity, FL; her grandchildren, Allyson Duncan Briddell, Ashlee Smith, Jennifer Stevens, Thomas Weigand, Coree Jo Duncan, Maggie Sloan and Grace Sloan; her great grandchildren, Henry Smith, Oliver Stevens, Julia Smith, Clara Stevens, Catherine Smith and Alexander Duncan; her husband Thomas L. Merryweather; and her siblings, J. Philemon Smith and Ione Nichols.
