She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Myrtle Marie Ponder (Wilburn) of Channelview; her siblings, Ted, Jerry Ponder and Polly Ann Ponder Kingston; and her son John David Thomas Sr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Sue (Charlie Bundick) of Warren, Cindy Gay (Michael Jevas) of Spring Branch and Kristy Ruth (James D. Johnson) of Grantsville; her daughter-in-law Sandra Hodges Thomas of Gulf Breeze, Florida.; her grandchildren, Jodi Cameron, John David Jr., Natasha Martinez, Myra Welch, Jenifer Meadows, Courtney Harsh, Candice Lemond, Brooke Barnhurst and Stevenson Johnson; and her sister Reda Ponder Henson of Channelview. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
