He is survived by: his children, Brenda Malone of Conroe, TX, Julie Sossaman (Brian) of Mont Belvieu, TX, Laura Shannon (Gene-Michael) of Madisonville, TX, Jennifer Adams (Stephen) of Porter, TX, Dana Edwards of Jena, LA and Melvin Edwards Jr. (Kristi) of Conroe, TX; and his brothers, Coy Edwards (Lynda) of Hockley, TX and Charles Edwards (Dorothy) of Hockley, TX. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
