He is survived by: his children, Joseph Purswell (Shaina Voss) and Virginia Mims (Arthur Mims); his grandchildren, Turner Purswell, Vera Purswell, Gracie Mims and Dannie Mims; his stepchildren, Teasa Barfoot, JonPaul Brown and Brandon Brown; his brothers, Edwin Purswell and Melvin Purswell; and his mother Virginia "Jigger" Purswell. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sterling-White Funeral Home & Cemetery (11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
