It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Morris Goode of Chandler, Texas, born in Abilene, Texas, who passed away on July 22, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward N. Goode and Effie D. Goode (Stalcup); his former wife Kay Goode; and his siblings, Eugene Goode, Jimmy Goode, Edward Goode, Berniece West and Julia Ann Fromm.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Goode of Chandler; his daughter Suzanne Ausmus (Loren) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Tammy Hayes of Tyler and Nathan Evans of Chandler; his grandchildren, John Ausmus, Allison Kay Ausmus, Micah Tate Ausmus, Gideon Kelly Ausmus, Evan Hayes (Abby), Raegan Hayes, Zoe Hayes and Sawyer Hayes; his niece Sherry Innes; and his nephew Nicholas James Goode. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

“Bobby was the youngest of three brothers of my mother, Julia Ann "Jan" Goode Meers. He was a year older than I so Bobby was more like a brother to me than an uncle. Growing up we spent all the major holidays together with many visits between. There were crazy teenage times of tearing around in his 1960 fire engine red Chevy Impala. As adults separated by miles, we talked on the phone and shared secrets we wouldn't tell anyone else. The only comfort I have is I KNOW I'll see him again.”
