She was predeceased by: her parents, Commie Caperton and Lottie Caperton; her former husband John L. McGill; her husband James L. Black; her granddaughter Megan McGill Dobrinski; and her brother Buel Caperton.
She is survived by: her sons, Randy McGill (Lori), Marc McGill and Kyle McGill (Jill); her sisters, Mary Morrison and Virginia Finklea; and her sister-in-law Lora Caperton. She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
