She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorence Herbert James and Estella Marie James (Berry); her sister Carolyn Lessley; and her grandson Dillion McGowen. She is survived by: her husband Fred McGowen of Chandler; her children, James McGowen (Stacy) of Athens and Jerry McGowen (Sissy) of Chandler; and her sister Katie Snyder of Chandler. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
