He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Ray Bevel, Sr. and Lola Bevel (Sadler); his wife Barbara L. Bevel; his son Gregory Lewis; his grandson Brian Lewis; and his sister Sharon Beitel.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Carter (Bob) of Lambertville, Kent Bevel of Arizona, Tom Lewis of Louisville and Susan Novak (Michael) of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
