He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Lee Tompkins, Sr. and Loutheree Tompkins (Capehart); his wife Nelda Jean Tompkins (Edwards); his son Ronald Lee Tompkins; and his siblings, Janie Richardson, Nelda Norris, Bill Tompkins, Bob Tompkins, Larry Tompkins, Martha Rushing and Pat Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Tompkins (Sheila) of Chandler, Sidney Tompkins of Chandler and Terry Tompkins (Heidi) of Tyler; and his grandchildren, Ashley Tompkins (Michael), Jonothan Tompkins and Matthew Tompkins.
