Gregory Ivie Obituary
Gregory Ivie, of Chandler, Texas, passed away on May 19, 2022. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.
Gregory, known to his loved ones as Greg, was a man who had experienced his fair share of ups and downs in life. However, he always believed that what truly mattered was the love in one's heart. He often said that a heart full of love was the key to entering Heaven.
Gregory is survived by his two daughters, Shiloh Marie Ivie and Kacey Ivie, as well as his son, Stephen Grant Ivie. He adored his two grandchildren, Phoenix Ronan Thomas (Shiloh's child) and Braden Ivie (Britine and Grant Ivie's child). Greg had a special bond with his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. One memory that stands out is watching him put his grandson to sleep with ease, a task that proved challenging for others.
In addition to being a father, Greg was a skilled mechanic. He passed on his knowledge to his children, teaching them valuable skills like changing brakes from a young age. He also was a phlebotomist. While he may not have been perfect, his heart was usually in the right place, and he had a deep understanding of others.
Gregory was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed. He leaves behind his sister, Cheryl Harper. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joann and Henry Ivie, and his ex-wife and mother of Shiloh, Christina Olson.
Gregory attended Frankston High School.
The memories shared with Gregory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his loved ones. Though his life was cut short, his legacy of love and understanding will continue to inspire those who knew him.
