He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Neva Mae Saxon (Mickey); and his children, Dan Mack Saxon, Jr. (Tina) of Tyler, Stephen Mark Saxon (Angie) of Chandler and Susanna Ruth Claussen (Jimmy) of Chandler. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
