He was predeceased by: his parents, William Charles Adkins and Evelyn Ruth Russell. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Sue Adkins of Chandler; his sons, William Charles Adkins (Wilma Cox) of Harlan and Damon Harold Adkins, Jr. (April Tennille) of Houston; his siblings, Sharon Meade, Brenda Fielding, Marlene Van Weiren, Kathy Ramirez, Annette Fowler, Tonia Staggs, Haskell Adkins and Louie Adkins; his grandchildren, Jonathan Noe of Harlan, Shannon Cox of Harlan, Dennis Cox (Bubba) of Harlan, Amanda of Harlan, Ross Clayton of Hawaii, Derrick Ishee of Overton and Birdie Linthicum of Henderson; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Cole, Miley, Zoey, Shelby, Jacob, Zander and Kylie.
